Widely regarded as one of SA’s leading hip hop authorities, South African-born T-BO’s first introduction to the world of hip hop occurred when he took a job as a bartender at famous New York hip hop club Ecstasy, where he interacted with many of rap’s biggest stars who performed there. He would eventually join Def Jam Records and meet DJ Enuf of Hot 97 — the biggest hip hop radio station in the U.S, who invited T-BO to be his assistant. Today, T-BO hosts his weekly Touchdown Show on Metro FM, is also the president of Akon’s Konvict Muzik South Africa and runs his own entertainment company, Trademark Entertainment.
